On February 21, 2021, we had the privilege of virtually preaching from Mark 2:13​-17 to Vineyard Church in Wheeling, WV!

After being criticized by the scribes for eating and drinking with tax collectors and sinners, Jesus says, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.”

We learned that despite our reputations or external appearances, we are all spiritually sick. This acknowledgment of our sinfulness is a prerequisite for entrance into the Kingdom. But we also learned how Jesus is the Great Physician and laid down His life so we can be healed!!

Just as Jesus didn’t quarantine from the spiritual sickness of sinners, we should follow His example by getting out of our comfort zones, going towards the mess to love the lost and push back darkness.
