God consistently subverts who humans think will be the best option to advance His Kingdom. He chooses the foolish over the wise, the dumb over the eloquent, and in this story, we see God redeeming incest and prostitution to bring about His Kingdom. God chooses unlikely, abused, sinful, and broken people to be part of extraordinary things. This is the beauty of the Gospel.
Many believe the blessed life is found on the other side of being better than others, excellent planning, hard work, or following your heart. In this message, we see that divine blessing doesn't come from perfect obedience but from relational proximity to the Blessed One. Genesis 30 shows that God's purposes prevail through human shortcomings. We hope this offers you a breath of fresh air under the weight of the world's standards and expectations.
Many of us desire to change, but lack the power to see true transformation come about. In this message, we look at the power of transformation (God's grace in the Gospel), the posture of transformation (surrender), the practices of transformation (counter-formation from the world and formation in the Way of Jesus), and the pleasure of transformation (God's Kingdom is what we long for).
How does God’s redemptive plan move forward? God is sovereignly orchestrating His redemptive plan, and we have a role to play in it. In a culture where comfort is king, Jesus, the Real King, is inviting us to reject the cultural current and choose “Kingdom over Comfort.”
In this message, we dove into the story of Sodom and Gomorrah from Genesis 19. We looked at the correlations between this text, our modern cultural context, and the root system that produces sinful cultures like these. We talked about the holiness of God, the justification of judgment, and the beauty of the Gospel.
When we view the world through a perfectionistic, performance-oriented, pain-adverse, and comfort-addicted cultural lens, we will crumble under the weight of our weakness.
In Genesis 8-11, we see that “The main problem with the world isn’t OUT there, but IN us,” and, “Humanity’s purpose is not to make a name for ourselves, but to be a blessing to the world.”
The Holy Spirit stirs us for more of God. He lives inside of us from salvation, but we can have more of Him through ongoing fillings.
God loves us too much to leave us dabbling in harmful activities.

Questions are currently swirling around about massive topics, such as faith, Jesus, God, church, race, politics, etc. Rather than reacting to the cultural currents of our day with defense against, accommodation to, or purity from, we're called to operate in what James Hunter calls faithful presence. In Mark 12:13-27 we see Jesus answering questions with reason and sound logic, with Scripture, and being both kind and firm in His responses.

God's design for humanity is one of deep satisfaction, rich relationships, potent purpose, and human flourishing, but something has gone terribly wrong. We see and feel this in a gnawing internal emptiness, political division, anxiety, overdose, racism, and social unrest. The secular answers of our day aren't sufficiently working to address these, but God offers us a sublime solution in Jesus.
